ABOUT

As part of Adobe’s ongoing mission to prioritise content from historically underrepresented communities, I was selected through their Artist Development Fund to create a series of images for Adobe Stock that reflect the richness, diversity, and nuance of real lives, lived and seen without filter or fabrication. It was an incredible honour to be chosen by such a major client, especially one that’s actively working to shift the visual narrative in mainstream media.

The brief was both powerful and personal: create visuals that speak honestly to the lived experiences of people too often pushed to the margins, across race, gender, ability, identity, age, and body. I saw this not just as a creative opportunity, but as a responsibility. With my work, I aim to challenge the narrow lens through which so many stories are told. This project gave me the chance to do that on a global platform, and to help redefine who gets to be seen.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the project was knowing the images would be added to Adobe Stock’s ‘Free Collection’. That changes everything because it means that cost is no longer a barrier to diverse representation. Brands and creators have no excuse, they now have access to inclusive, culturally honest visuals without financial gatekeeping. That shift has power as it democratises visibility and removes yet another layer of systemic exclusion.

My approach was rooted in truth, real people, real moments, natural light. I wanted the images to feel human, not staged. To create space for dignity and agency. To document presence, not perform it. Each photo is a portrait of individuality, but together, they form a statement: we are here, we exist, and we deserve to be seen.

Together with Adobe, this video was created to show my process, my vision, and why representation matters so deeply to me. It’s been incredible to see the response: the video has reached almost one million views on YouTube alone (the video was also translated into multiple languages, allowing the message to reach and resonate with a truly global audience) with more across other social platforms. That level of visibility means the message is resonating, and reaching people who are ready to change how they see, hire, and represent others. For me, this project isn’t just about photography, it’s about using my voice and my camera to open doors. To say: we are not an afterthought. We are the story.
