ABOUT
Budapest (1890-1910)
The Hungarian capital was growing with a considerable percentage at the time: in the Austro-Hungarian empire, the two capitals, Budapest and Vienna, had a "competition" between them, which city can grow faster and become better not just in terms of economy but also architecturally and culturally. I decided to look at one specific architect's work, Miklos Ybl. He was the most influential architect during that time. I followed how the capital was growing and improving with a vast percentage every year—focused on windows representing who is living in that house: their lifestyle, wealth and social status.
