After joining the Together Trust as the Internal communications officer in May 2020 (in the middle of a pandemic), one of my first realisations is that the intranet had low engagement and wasn’t well-loved by colleagues.
As the charity has over 900 colleagues in 40 services spanning more than 30 locations (not including home working), I knew it was crucial to rebuild an intranet that was fit for purpose and inspired a #OneTrust culture.
50% of the organisation used the platform within the first 3 weeks of the relaunch.
In the first 3 months there was a:
- 220% increase in Daily Active Users
- 160% increase in Monthly Active Users
- 570% increase in the use of the search function
The intranet became the highest performing internal channel, even outperforming emails.
