ABOUT

I conceptualized, wrote, filmed and edited this promotional video for my own online business, which was called Instant Haven Limited. The business was an online competition and the prize was a house. I set the business up in 2008 to try and help people who were being made homeless by the recession; people were being scammed by ruthless property investors into losing their homes and this was my way of giving home-owners a chance to get the full market value for their home. The entry tickets only cost £3.00 each. The idea was to generate enough money through ticket sales to give the home-owner whose house was the prize the full market price for their house; the winner of the competition got the house and the company i.e. Instant Haven Ltd. made a profit from ticket sales. So if a house was worth £650,000 on the open market and ticket sales raised £700,000, the home-owner got £650,000 and the company made £50,000 and made a profit after all the business expenses had been met. Over time the online competition evolved into something on a smaller scale, until I eventually wound it up.
