About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I graduated in the summer from the University of York with a BSc in Psychology. Throughout my time at university, I have engaged in a number of extra curricular activities which have required excellent communication, organisation and team working skills. This included the position of Junior Common Room Committee Vice Chair, in which I constantly liaised with university administration on behalf of the student body, discussing important issues affecting student life and pushing for improvements in these areas. I have experience in organising and hosting events, ranging from weekly events hosting over 80 students, to larger scale events where attendance exceeded 500! I have written and designed promotional material for prospective university students, a task which demonstrated my creativity in both written and visual form.

I have just recently completed a 3 month internship at Mercieca Ltd, an award winning integrated agency. I developed an initial two week internship into a three month paid placement. The role allowed me to develop an understanding of client-agency relations, and as such, I am familiar with reporting to an Account Manager, as I did at my time in Mercieca. I was able to work across a broad range of accounts, including Cadbury, Coca-Cola, GlaxoSmithKline and Procter & Gamble, carrying out important tasks in market research, competitor reviews and general client service. The time in this role provided me with invaluable experience, and I am eager to keep progressing in this industry. The role of Account Executive is one I find very attractive.

Having read the job's duties, many of them are similar to what was asked of me at my time at Mercieca - responsibilities which I am very capable of taking charge of and completing. I know I would bring a very strong set of skills to the role, I am creative, organised and most importantly highly motivated and driven in all that I do, and know that I have a lot to bring to a dynamic team-based environment.
