ABOUT

Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.
Wilfred Owen 1893 – 1918

Typographic interpretation of poetry by WWI poet Wilfred Owen.

The same weight and size of type is used throughout to strengthen the monotony and the detached, desensitised emotion to the surroundings.

Blank areas add more time to events before the panic of the gas attack, followed by a slow return to the unfeeling attitude of the observer.
