About me
Hello.
I have worked at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) full-time for the past 5 years as a motion graphics designer, supporting Australia's most trusted television journalism. I am well-versed in the visual language of news and current affairs.
During my time at the ABC I have designed graphics packages and branding for two nightly news programmes: The World, on ABC News 24 and Lateline on ABC. I also designed graphics treatments for special events coverage and documentary series produced by the news division of the ABC. Aside from these major projects, I designed daily in-package graphics for all of the ABC's current affairs shows as well as on-set graphics and 'explainer' sequences. This required close collaboration with editorial staff, an understanding of the subject matter and careful time management to meet on-air deadlines.
I'd like to continue working in news because I find creating design that assists with the comprehension of important issues satisfying, and doing this for one of the world's most reputable media organisations would be very exciting.
Should this position already be filled, please keep my CV on file if any future opportunities to work for Al Jazeera arise.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
Best regards
Andrew McKenzie
