For my final year project i decided to design Halo. Halo, is a medicine organiser and dispenser aimed at people who are in the early to middle stages of dementia. It holds a months’ worth of medication, dispenses at set times and uses specific colours and sounds to create a dementia friendly design. Additionally, using sensors it detects when the medication has been taken and sends a message the user’s carer, to reassure them that the medication has been taken, reducing carer stress and carer burnout.
