Having gained the necessary experience and skill set from my time in VFX I moved to The Weather Channel to start up their online video department. Starting as a one man, one camera outfit I have successfully taken the department from 0 content and views to a high of 3 million video views for one video and producing a consistent 10 videos a day of high quality video content. I had to utilize all of my previous knowledge to set the department up, including lighting a studio, setting up audio hardware and camerawork. I recently implemented a TriCaster MiniHD to enhance and streamline the video production workflow. Whilst in post-production I also had to edit, color grade and add visual effects and motion graphics when needed before then publishing to an online video management platform. I am in charge of one permanent assistant and a part-time junior assistant under my management.
