Today, we celebrate the joy, innocence, and limitless imagination of children everywhere. As an illustrator who has had the privilege of bringing stories to life for young readers, this day holds a special place in my heart.
One of my most cherished childhood memories revolves around the delightful experience of playing with a duck during my summer visits to my grandparents' home.
The duck was born quite sickly, and I had asked my mom to let me take care of her. She agreed. As time passed, the tiny duck grew into a vibrant bird. I named the duck Vasilica but later found out from my mom that it was actually a male duck named Vasile.
