This illustration began as a two-page sketchbook spread and was carefully curated for this presentation. Created with graphite pencil and watercolor, it tells the story of a sea maiden rising from the tides beneath the gaze of the moon, surrounded by shells, foam, and fragments of forgotten coastal folklore. I am drawn to the quiet symbolism shared by the moon and the sea, both guided by hidden rhythms and cycles. Through flowing lines, muted hues, and dreamlike imagery, I sought to capture a moment suspended between myth and memory.
