Using Samsung 5G technology to revive two dying artforms

Cantonese Opera and Cantopop are two fading artforms in Hong Kong. Could we demonstrate the power of Samsung’s latest 5G phone, the Galaxy S20, by using it to breathe new life into these dying arts? Introducing: Cantopopera, a live-jam between Cantopop band Dear Jane and Cantonese Opera singer Christie To Wing-sum, while being in two completely different locations. The happening was shot entirely on S20 phones and streamed via 5G technology. In the end, our campaign managed to set new records in terms of brand engagement, and also re-energized people’s excitement for two dying artforms.
