About me

Hi there :) My name is Andrea and I thrive on creative challenges - that's what keeps me going in this ever-evolving industry.

From a very young age I realized that I wanted to work in the arts and dreamt of being an artist. That dream started becoming a reality when I enrolled for a degree in Fine Arts after finishing school. In my early twenties I travelled to the UK and completed a postgraduate diploma in Art Therapy. In 2010 I returned to SA, decided to study more, and graduated with a BA Degree in Multimedia Digital Visual Arts (Cum Laude). This gave me a solid footing in the creative industry.

I am currently working as a Freelance Integrated Designer, creating assets for corporate and private campaigns across multiple platforms. Several clients have complimented me on my exceptional ability to translate their vision into high quality, impactful imagery. I've had the opportunity of illustrating gaming environments for American toy company Hasbro's "My Little Pony" augmented reality game as well as an interactive, augmented reality version of "Hansel & Gretel". As an award-winning Multimedia Artist, I work in a variety of mediums, exhibiting my work in group and solo exhibitions across South Africa.

My skills include illustration (for web, print & animation), graphic design (for web and print), animation (2D and stop-frame), video editing, web design (front end) and visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture). I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, HMTL & CSS as well as Wordpress.
