The design of the movie is made to blur the line between technological fantasy and reality, making the world filled with bioengineered androids real. For this poster composition the main element was influenced by the character Joi (Ana de Armas), who represents the love interest of K and the ideal woman. She is a hollogram manufactured by a company to represent the perfect romantic interest for her customers. In contrast with her rival character, Luv, who portrays loyalty and harmonious control, Joi seems a more humanized companion at first. However, the scene chosen for this composition is when K encounters a version of Joi, which is more soulless, making him realize that she is one of a million and programmed to act to please people in the end. For this composition, I wanted to choose the more soulless version of Joi, due to the fact that it matches perfectly with the movie’s theme of science fiction.
