My most recent project explores the result of the Soviet regime in Bulgaria through looking at contemporary urban landscapes. It features current-day photographs of my hometown as well as archival images to track the way the socialist period affected it socially and architecturally. Through the landscapes I have tried to capture the essence of post-communist Bulgarian culture and convey people’s outmoded ways of thinking and living.
