INCLUSIVE CITIES:
Site: Beetham Plaza, Liverpool
Brief: Design an inclusive building, place or space so that it is easily and comfortably accessed by everyone

For this project we had to make something out of a wasted space, we had 3 sites and 2 briefs to choose from. I chose this site because I thought it had the most potential.
The area is full of mostly working class people and residents who live above Beetham Plaza - so it is mostly aimed at them, but my design is inclusive and suitable for everybody - as there is a train station nearby so the site gets a lot of passers by.

DESIGN PRACTICE
Site: All of John Moores University campuses
Brief: Develop a thoughtfully designed space, creating a comfortable environment for university students

The aim on this project was to create a wellbeing space for the university students of John Moores. We had a £5000 budget for the space, it had to be something mobile - which made this a bit more challenging as originally it had to be in a set room.
This creates greater opportunities and more flexibility in what we can choose. It will also encourage students to go more as it will be at different campuses.

Site: Smithdown Road
Brief: Create own project

Aim: To create a show home style store for the local community which will be stocked by a wide range of local suppliers from furniture to decorating services. The store will give people interior design inspiration, DIY tips and will afford them to furnish home through online purchases via QR code scans. The store will be presented as a fully furnished home the size of a common house in the area.
