ABOUT
I worked on this project as the Art Director, Supervisor, Editor, and Sound Artist, leading the creative vision and final execution of the animated explainer video.
The goal was to create a clear and engaging explainer video that communicates Uber’s message through strong visual storytelling and motion design. As Art Director, I defined the overall visual language, including the animation style, color palette, and tone, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable look throughout the project.
A key visual approach in this project was the integration of 3D elements merged into a 2D animation style. The car and emoji assets were built in 3D to achieve depth, flexibility, and smoother motion, then composited and stylized to blend seamlessly with the 2D environment, creating a hybrid visual aesthetic that feels modern and playful while remaining clear and accessible.
As Supervisor, I oversaw the full production pipeline, aligning design, animation, and sound to maintain consistency and quality at every stage. As the Editor, I shaped the pacing, rhythm, and transitions to ensure the narrative flows clearly and efficiently.
I also handled the sound design, crafting sound effects and audio elements that enhance motion, reinforce key moments, and support the overall clarity of the explainer without distracting from the message.
This project reflects a multidisciplinary approach to explainer video production, combining art direction, hybrid animation techniques, editing, and sound design to deliver a polished and effective branded animation.
