Coats’ industrial threads, zips and specialty division- Coats Industrial, is the world’s largest supplier and manufacturer of industrial thread and second largest for zips.

Traditionally, manufacturing organisations focus on internal operational strategies to deliver profitability. Coats recognised that this would only deliver mid-term and limited growth, so embarked on a strategic step-change. This involved a re-focus from a manufacturing to a service-oriented organisation and leveraging digital channels to deliver operational and marketing transformation to numerous target audiences, right across the globe. The key to enabling this transformation was not only a strong technical framework to support a global network but an overhaul of Coats entire digital estate.
