About me

Passionate visual story-teller with reams of experience in content creation and product launches with travel at their heart. Currently looking for work in the fields of editorial consultancy, travel insight and freelance writing.

Twelve years as deputy editor of Lonely Planet Magazine in the UK, working on the award-winning and market-leading title from launch.

Prior to that, in my role as Special Projects Publishing Manager for Lonely Planet, I was responsible for creating successful new series, from market research through to product delivery.

From the first moment my parents strapped me into the back of the car each summer and we set off to mainland Europe with a tent on the roof rack and a boot-full of baked beans and Pot Noodles, travel has been my absolute passion. Equal to that is my enthusiasm for strong, cliche-free writing, eye-catching design and world-class photography. Together, these allow me to shape and share content in a way that best engages the reader and takes them on a journey right alongside its creator. Simply put, I know a good story when I see one.

On a more practical level, I have strong project-management skills, with a proven ability to assemble cohesive, well-motivated teams, organise workflow and hit targets within schedule and to budget.
