About me

Alvaro Gardeazabal was born in Bilbao. He studied Industrial Engineering and Communcation Sciences at the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU).

He began his creative-copywriter career in advertising at ATICO in San Sebastián, DEIMOS, and VECTOR COMUNICACION in Bilbao.

In 1987 he joined TAPSA NW AYER's Madrid office. In 1991 he worked for BASSAT OGILVY's Madrid office as creative director. Two years later, he moved to San Sebastian as CD for PUBLIS NCM. In 1996, back in Madrid, he joined AM&A. From 1999 to 2001, he became CD for RAD· a Dentsu Company.

In 2001, he founded GIBBONS MILLWARD, a creative and strategic communication consultancy. He is a member of the CLUB DE CREATIVOS of Spain (C de C) and has received a World Medal in the New York
International Advertising Awards.

He has worked with a wide range of clients from both the public and private sectors. He teaches at different Universities: Francisco de Vitoria University (UFVI-Madrid), UPV, and CEDIM (Monterrey).
