ABOUT
Animation and Graphics
OVERVIEW & BRIEF
We were hired to create the graphics for a YouTube tutorial for HubSpot. They wanted to highlight the diversity and inclusivity of their asset use.
THE CHALLENGE
The explainer videos needed to be engaging and inspiring using the correct icons, colours and movement. It was important to find a balance between keeping the audience engaged and allowing the information to be relayed without too much distraction. In keeping with the ethos of the client regarding inclusion and diversity, we had to source the right assets to ensure that we adhered to this.
THE SOLUTION
We accessed different libraries that specialise in inclusivity and diversity content to source materials and assets for the videos to ensure that we were in keeping with their ethos. We came up with a template for the ratio of spoken information and visual icons on the screen to keep the audience engaged.
THE PROCESS
As with any other project, we had initial meetings with the client to understand the briefing and then presented animation tests until they got results they were happy with. Animation is a straightforward process where client feedback is fundamental.
THE TECHNIQUE
2D After Effects graphics and type animation over live footage. We had to create some elements in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
RESULTS
We delivered three 5-minute videos in less than a week each. The client was happy with the final assets, and you can see them posted in all their glory on their YouTube channel.
