ABOUT
I led on the creative direction for the customer awareness communications for automatic ticket gates. This included a two-touch email programme ('coming soon' and 'now live'); pull-up banners at the affected stations and also information leaflets for station staff to give out.
The title 'Gate Expectations' came out of a short brainstorming session as a play on the Dickens novel 'Great Expectations'. This led to my idea for the visual concept to be reminiscent of gilded leather bound covers of Dickens novels.
Being involved with both the digital and print publicity ensured design consistency. In addition to the above collateral, I designed a 'just passing' card for two specific stations where part of the station between ticket barriers is a public right of way.
