ABOUT
It was 2015. I was wandering through a shop, my mind spinning with an idea I’d been shaping — a corporate potato designer, constantly terrified of being fried, aka… fired.
As 'Mr. Sandman' played softly in the background, its rhythm felt oddly fitting. That word — ‘dream’ — captured the heart of it. Sandbag became a story of a helpless dreamer, navigating a cutthroat corporate world with no idea how to handle reality.
His nemesis? The boss: controlling, mean, and relentless. And then there’s the boss’s right-hand — foolish but dangerous in his loyalty. It’s a satire of modern work life, absurd, whimsical, and full of impossible dreams.
Sandbag isn’t just a story. It’s a playful exploration of creativity under pressure, turning absurdity into inspiration.
It was 2016. I was crammed onto the Central Line during rush hour, my electroswing playlist buzzing in my ears. The chaos of the crowd felt surreal — people morphing into seaweeds, the train filling with water. In my mind, I swam through the darkness, searching for light.
That’s where Nyx emerged. An illustrator losing her sight after a car crash, she threw herself into the sea, unable to face a life without art. But instead of death, she discovered an inner vision — a supernatural ability to carry light through the darkest abysses and swim through the universe itself.
(Ultra)Nyx became my alter ego while I was playing the game SuperBetter.
