ABOUT
Don Dada Studio recently collaborated with Harewood House to produce a short animation exploring the estate’s historic ties to the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved People.
As a studio founded and led by members of the African diaspora, this project carried deep personal and cultural significance for our team. We approached this sensitive subject with the utmost care, aiming to honor the truth of the past while presenting it with grace, humility, and respect.
All of the animated backgrounds were meticulously crafted to stay true to the architectural and natural details of Harewood House and its grounds, ensuring historical accuracy and visual authenticity throughout the film.
Through thoughtful visual storytelling, our animation sheds light on Harewood House's legacy and contributes to the ongoing dialogue around history, accountability, and remembrance.
