ABOUT

Donald in Wonderland ’ is a virtual reality experience (VR), where Donald will describe some of experiences as a child of Jamaican parents who migrated to the UK in the early 1960s. Enter this magical front room, which was evidence of social status, this is a reception room only use for events, back in the 70s.

“This project has been a wonderful opportunity to learn the importance of Oral History and the individual voices of people. In a world full of noise and overwhelming information, to sit and really pay attention to someone’s personal story is an act of mindful presence. The two-day showcase at the British Library and the months of work before the opening have been a continuous learning experience in which ‘the other voice’ became a trigger for creativity and personal reflection. Being able to bring new light to these stories, create conversations and reactions among the public has been the greatest achievement.”
