ABOUT

This book is collection of my photography works made during the Minor Visual Culture at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. It is consisted of 4 booklets, each of which having a unique concept translated into imagery. Together they form a whole and embody the final concept. CONNECTING DOTS is a quest for fascination, focused on light, colour, abstraction, and social issue. BEYOND MEMESIS approaches my fascination, mimesis, and a true meaning of representation as one of the most important conceptual device in contemporary philosophy of art. TWICE REMOVED deepens the idea of representation, elaborating further on Plato’s “world of ideas” that brought me to conclusion that everything we see has been twice removed from the reality. Finally, PARANOIA CHIC rounds my fascination with human paranoia that is in fact produced by the system in order to shut down the critical thought in us.
