ABOUT

The main character, "Girl" was born and raised by "Chrysanthemum". When she discovered "Petunia", she chose to walk alongside it until adulthood. The flowers represent paths you can take in life, and that you can choose which path to walk on. This animation, titled Petunia, was an open brief college assignment. I chose to make an animation about self discovery and growth of oneself. This animation is meant to be interpreted by the viewer, so although they represent lifestyles for me, they can mean whatever is more relatable to the one watching. I made "Chrysanthemum" a loud, social character and "Petunia" more quiet to represent showy, flamboyant personalities and a more polite and humble lifestyle respectively.
