About Alexandra
With a BA in Graphic Design under my belt, I gained experience in several fields as broad as art direction, editorial and graphic design. Nearly two years ago, I moved to London where I finally found and developed the role I currently hold as Visual & Art Director within the Communications department for London based brand Marques Almeida; nevertheless, this position is much broader than the title describes as working in such a young company I am in charge of quite an extensive list of tasks, including designing all graphic content, liaising with e-commerce & overall supporting the Communications department.
However I am currently seeking for new ventures within a creative environment and finding this role opened a prospective new window for me, feeling I would suit and fulfill all of the demands that this position requires as I have experience in the fashion industry as well as a trained eye in design. As I said, working within the Communications department for this fashion brand, I have developed not only my creative but my social and organizational skills to the point of working on big projects on my own, usually within very tight deadlines and also managing client and store accounts; however, in terms of my technical skills, I would consider I am an advanced Adobe Creative Suite user , particularly within In design, Photoshop and Illustrator but feel quite comfortable learning new ways to reproduce my work.
On top of that, I have trained my ability of translating ideas from their conceptual conception to tangible pieces of work, and I very much enjoy the process of researching and creating moldboards. All in all I would be fully motivated to bring my hard working personality to a new company and be part of a growing team of creatives.
