About me

I consider myself to be a creative, hard working individual always eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities. I am interested in visual language within society, which inspired my choice of degree at university where I studied Graphic Communication. The course provided both a broad visual education and professional training through a range of media, integrating theory and practice. The course concentrated on four main areas of graphic communication

- Design studies focused on word, image and time. This provided a range of skills in media from print to multi-media and web based outcomes.

- Ideation and Formation studies encouraged experimentation and innovative outcomes to set briefs.

- Critical and Cultural Studies dealt with visual culture within society and graphic communication in particular.

- Professional Studies aimed to give an understanding of the industry and prepare for a professional career.

The programme encouraged innovative ways of thinking and working methods through in-depth training in the traditions and techniques of the profession. Skills in finding creative solutions to communication problems, working both independently and within groups were realised.

I enjoy working as part of a team and understand the importance of good communication when discussing ideas and outcomes. I also relish the prospect of self directed projects and have the motivation and confidence in my own work to produce successful outcomes.
