ABOUT

H.M.S. Pandora was an 18th century Royal Navy ship, most famous for being sent to bring back the mutineers of another ship: H.M.S. Bounty.

The animation below was completed as part of my final year University major project demonstrating modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering skills. The animation (bottom of page) was rendered in Mental Ray and gives a basic history of the ship and it's construction. It is presented in a documentary style.

Revisiting the project later, the ship was re-textured and re-rendered in V-Ray at a higher resolution to produce some high quality stills.

Software used: 3DS Max, Animation - Mental Ray, Stills - V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Combustion
