About me
My name is Alexander Libotte, I am currently Art Editor for digital at GQ within Condé Nast. In my role at GQ my main responsibility is the user experience of the British GQ
iPad app. On a day to day base, I bring together editorial design with user experience for
digital media such as the iPad, videos or the website. My task is to add extra, interactive value to our existing layouts such as animations or user friendly navigation. The variety of tasks I fullfil during the transformation from the magazine into the app, is broad and always expanding.
Before I started at GQ I was Senior Designer at Redwood Publishing. I have been working
on LIV, the global Volvo customer magazine. In my time at LIV, I gathered experience in art
directing designers, illustrators and shoots on international locations. I have been giving
creative touches to a broad variety of projects within LIV, from branded content, editorial
design to digital design such as website pitches. Further I have been the person behind
several global Volvo Magazine iPad apps. At Redwood I have been one of the pioneers in
terms of digital design, consulting the majority of accounts with my knowledge and strategic expertise on application development and user interface design, working on different projects and pitches across the company.
Passionate about design, brand concepts and new technology I work with an eye for detail. I am always eager to improve my skills and knowledge and I enjoy new challenges.
