Alex's work

About Alex

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to apply for the position of Middleweight designer for a Global Sports Agency. The position is a great fit for me, particularly with my broad experience in digital, graphic, sports, marketing and management. I take pride in my strong interpersonal skills and in particular my ability to network and build relationships. I have enjoyed being part of a broad cross-section of work environments, from the public health sector, government to the high-end spectrum of the private sector. I believe this has given me a high level of adaptability and transferable skills.

Having recently just moved over from Australia, I believe I can bring a fresh outlook and use the skills I gained over the years to a new position such as this in London. My previous role in Australia was within the Health Department as SA Health/Government- where I was the Data Online Migration Officer. I worked very closely with the main Hospitals in planning, collating and creating content and design for their new websites both front end and intranet layouts. Interacting and meeting the CEO, directors and medical staff to gather information and consolidate and write into the appropriate format was an ongoing process. I assisted in training of the new staff and managed the uploading of all resources.

I have worked for major campaigns such as the City-Bay & Bay-City Fun Run, where I have been responsible for the new design/creation and management of their website, social media, photo shoots, newsletters, advertising and communication with members and sponsors.

I have also had further website experience as well as marketing, event management and public relation experience with a Melbourne based company called "Rudy PR." Whilst part of the team at Rudy PR I was in charge of coordinating corporate functions, fashion events, photo shoots, social media/website design, whilst being responsible for all office administration and developing promotional and marketing strategies. This was a high-pressured environment, requiring initiative, innovation and adherence to deadlines with often last minute changes requested. I take pride in my ability to problem solve and think on my feet and then as to how the end result was finally projected.

I have also managed an online retail store called "The Fashion Tunnel." The Fashion Tunnel offered various female and male fashion label's clothing ranges to purchase online. Whilst managing The Fashion Tunnel I focused on providing customer service, database management, digital management, promotional events and website management. I created this website from a blank canvas, working very closely with the IT technicians throughout its concept and then through the continual review and updating required.

My qualifications are a Bachelor in Visual Communications - Graphic Design.

I look forward to hopefully hearing from you in the near future.

Warm regards,

Alex Botten
