ABOUT

A project in collaboration with a student at Buckingham University. The idea was to build an App as a tool to increase social connections among tube users in London. As documented in her dissertation, main activities for those who take the tube to get to work, are:

looking at the phone - either playing games or listening to music,
reading.

Chances to start a conversation with fellow tubers are close to none, no matter how busy the train can be.

My role was to create mockups of how the app would work, and how the advertising campaign would look like.

Starting from logo and tagline, I provided sketches of the screens, real life situations and adverts placed throughout the TFL network, on both tube stations and buses.

More professional than Linkedin, Less curious than Facebook: IMeeTube.

As it would be fairly impossible to change human behavior, the idea of having an App - something that people are very comfortable with - that gives the ability to start a conversation, sounded perfect.

The App would allow to connect - thanks to the newly built wi-fi tube network - people on the same train, sharing common interests. Moreover the app would allow - this was meant as paid section - where recruiters/companies can share vacancies.
