ABOUT

The Glass Man

The city never truly sleeps.
It breathes in uneven gasps, like a weary animal. Flickering neon lights. Hurried footsteps. Car horns chasing one another like obsessive thoughts. No one looks at anyone.

And he... doesn't exist.

Not because he's invisible.
But because he's transparent.

A man made entirely of glass.
He doesn't reflect light—he lets it pass through him. He doesn't hold anyone's gaze—he loses it.

Every day he walks through the crowd. Across streets, offices, subway stations. People pass beside him... almost through him. Sometimes someone brushes against him without even noticing. It's like bumping into air.

He works—or at least he tries to—in a place that could be an office, or a factory producing something that no longer matters. No one speaks to him. No one calls him by name. His thin, polished hands reach out to interact with the world, but everything slips away.

His home is empty.

Not because there are no objects inside, but because none of them truly reflect him. Mirrors ignore him. Surfaces let him pass through.

And yet... he feels.

He feels everything.

The noise of the city vibrates inside him. Other people's footsteps create delicate resonances within his fragile body. Every unspoken word. Every missed glance. Every moment of indifference... becomes pressure.

Until one day—for no apparent reason—

something gives way.

A crack.

Small. Thin.

Almost elegant.

It begins in the center of his chest and slowly spreads, like a thought that can no longer be ignored. No one sees it. No one sees him.

But he feels it.

Every movement echoes through the fracture. Every step becomes heavier. The city carries on, indifferent.

Then the rain comes.

Not a violent storm.

The kind of rain that falls slowly, patiently... finding its way into everything.

He walks beneath the grey sky, just as he always has. Raindrops pass through his body...

until one of them finds the crack.

And stays.

Then another.

And another.

Water begins to fill him.

Slowly.

Silently.

And for the first time...

something changes.

His body is no longer merely transparent.

Now it refracts.

Light breaks inside him. His outline begins to appear. People start to notice something.

A shadow.

A reflection.

A disturbance in space.

One person stops and stares.

Then another.

The city slows—just for a moment.

Someone turns around.

And at last...

they see him.

But it isn't a gentle revelation.

It's unsettling.

A fragile man, cracked, filled with water.

Every movement produces tiny sounds: ticking... cracking... liquid vibrations.

People don't come closer.

They watch.

They judge.

They avoid him.

Now he exists.

But only as something that seems broken.

The more he moves, the more the water inside him stirs.

The more it stirs...

the wider the crack becomes.

The city watches as he falls apart.

And finally, he understands.

He wasn't invisible because something was missing.

He was invisible because no one wanted to look at something so fragile.

Final Scene

The rain keeps falling.

He stops beneath a streetlamp.

Its light passes through his water-filled body, scattering into beautiful, almost hypnotic reflections.

One final sound.

A surrender.

Then—

silence.

The glass shatters.

The water spills across the pavement, merging with the rain. Fragments remain scattered across the ground, each reflecting the city in a thousand broken pieces.

People walk past.

Some step on them.

Some avoid them.

But for a single moment...

inside every shard,

there is a reflection.

Perhaps of him.

Perhaps of themselves.
