Moments after the hammer fell, a hidden mechanism inside the frame activated and the painting began to shred itself from the bottom, shocking the audience. The stunt quickly went viral, and Banksy later appeared to claim responsibility, turning the artwork into a new piece titled *Love is in the Bin*.
