ABOUT

CHALLENGE:
Alegría had built a genuine reputation in the talent industry — image development, editorial management, content production, and high-impact shows — but its visual identity was stuck in a dated golden logomark that communicated neither the vibrancy of its name nor the dynamism of what it actually does. The brand's equity was real; its expression was invisible in the digital landscape where talent, creativity, and personality are currency. A company called Joy was projecting anything but.

IDEA:
Hide a wink inside the name. The icon I designed — :) — is the typographic expression of alegría itself: a colon as eyes, a closing parenthesis as a smile. It is playful, universal, and instantly readable as emotion. When embedded into the wordmark, the ía at the end of the name becomes the icon, making the logo literally smile at whoever reads it.

The renaming of the claim — from a generic descriptor to Talent Net, with the underlying conceptual game of Talent HappyNet — repositions Alegría as a network of joy-producing talent, not merely an agency. The word "net" signals reach, connection, and digital fluency. And if you know to read it: it's a happiness network.

Before — Old Logo
ALEGRÍA.
Static golden wordmark. No personality, no digital adaptability. The name said joy — the logo said nothing.

After — Refreshed Identity
alegr:)´a
Modular, colour-charged, winking. The icon is the smile. The brand IS the name.

The :) icon — three layers of meaning:
:)
The Wink
Universal expression of alegría — joy, complicity, personality. Readable at any size.

ía
The Suffix
The ending of the word "alegría" — the icon replaces the letters without losing the name.

Net
Talent Net
A network of happy talent — the claim hides "HappyNet" for those who read between the lines.

Brand essence — what alegría means:
"Joy (Alegría): the outer expression of the soul. A luminous state. A projection of energy. A creative language. An attitude. The producer of endorphins that eliminates physical and emotional pain."

MY CONTRIBUTION - CREATIVE DIRECTOR:
As Creative Director, I directed the full logo refresh and brand modernisation — taking the inherited golden wordmark and rebuilding it as a modular, expressive, digital-native identity:
-Logo redesign & icon creation: I created the :) icon as the brand's new signature — embedding it into the wordmark so the smile becomes structural, not decorative. The system is modular: the icon works alone, the wordmark works alone, and together they form a flexible identity adaptable across digital, print, merchandise, and event branding.
-Colour system: I replaced the static gold with a multi-colour palette — electric blue, yellow, pink, violet — reflecting the spectrum of talent and joy that Alegría manages, and making the brand immediately visible and competitive in digital environments.
-Claim & naming game — Talent HappyNet: I wrote the claim "Talent Net" with the hidden reading of "Talent HappyNet" — a double-layer naming strategy that rewards engaged audiences while remaining clean and professional on surface. This kind of linguistic playfulness is entirely coherent with a brand whose name means joy.
