ABOUT

“The Fabergé Girl” is a historical novel based on Alma Phil, the only woman working at the Fabergé Workshop in St.Petersburg right before the Russian Revolution. Ina Christova, the author of this novel, commissioned the cover. She wanted a design that evoked the delicate intricacies of the Fabergé Jewellery, specifically some pieces mentioned throughout the book, while giving a nod to traditional Russian folkloric art. Furthermore, she wanted a colour palette where this shade of green was predominant.
