Brief
====

The brief asked to create a ‘Stand-out’ cover for Adult Fiction book Norwegian Wood by Huruki Murakami.

The Design Process
==================
My response was to create two very different creative solutions. The first was inspired by the line ‘If you are in pitch blackness, all you can do is sit tight until your eyes get used to the dark’. Represented by wood grain and a knot which resembled an eye.

The second cover is inspired by Japanese culture and fuses the fan, sun symbol and a record vinyl to represent the title which is linked to the Beatles classic of the same name.

The Final Outcome
=================

At the least, I design two strong design and the choices were so hard, but fan and record were the best.
