ABOUT
This composition originated from the encounter with Concerning the Spiritual in Art, a book written in 1910 by the Muscovite artist Wassily Kandinsky, one of the most relevant and mystic figures of the 20th Century.
This book collects secular prophecies about mankind and its future spiritual evo-lution through which Kandinsky, with his mystic and esoteric knowledge, draws a line, a path. In this work the author analysed the natural-spiritual essence of colour, fundamental element in the composition, and its connection with the emotion and the soul of the audience.
The analysis and comprehension of Kandinsky’s book allowed for the selection of chromatisms present in the elaborate: white, yellow, green, blue and black, which interact in dichotomous relationships derived from Tavola III – anello tra i due poli opposti = la vita dei colori semplici tra la nascita e la morte.
The synthesis between the theories and representations of Kandinsky and my personal choreographic identity, influenced by his norms, lies at the heart of this research. In this respect, the use of screen-choreography to develop this research works as a filter that by allowing alteration in space and time overthrows physi-cal laws and increases possibilities for composition.
