About me

I am the director of a small research/ EU project management company specializing in the nexus between the creative industries and regional development strategies. My main strength is that I understand how a government or local authority can incorporate the arts and creative industries into an overall, innovation-intensive strategy for regional development. I have far-reaching research experience, which has generated a strong publication recors. I also have a wide experience of project management, and that includes working in multi-stakeholder partnerships. My communication skills are outstanding, ranging from writing academic papers to addressing general-purpose audiences (I contriibute occasionally to a weekly newsmagazine on CI issues) to giving interviews. Last but not least, I am an artist: a rock/world musician with global touring experience, gold-record awarded in Italy. This gives me extra knowledge and empathy when dealing with creatives and CI businesses.

I am interested in the new challenges that might stem from working in a country - such as the UK - that has world-class policy towards the CIs.
