Alastair's work
About Alastair
Good morning Hertfordshire
My name is Alastair Beaton and I have an experience to share.
It was 2006 in Vietnam. I was waking up in a Hanoi Hospital as the doctors frantically warmed up a defibrillator, just moments away from attempting to restart my heart. What they didn't know however was that I wasn't having a heart attack. I had an ear infection. And I had simply fainted at the sight of a needle.
I learnt two things that day. Firstly, that world travel never ceases to throw up new experiences. And secondly, that good communication can help to avoid any nasty shocks.
I tell you this because you are looking for a well-travelled copywriter who can be articulate and successful when communicating messages.
That day in Hanoi, I managed a few words in broken French to explain the mix up. But since then, I have become an award-winning copywriter who has created and delivered many advertising campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
I would like to apply for the position with your company because I believe it encompasses everything that interests me. I have already specialized in the travel and leisure market in my current work, and I have the fusion of skills and creativity that you're looking for.
I love the look of the work you do and see that you're a progressive team with a great depth of ideas.
Surprisingly, much of my work has been based in sound design. But this has allowed me to establish a great ability for understanding tone of voice, and for whipping up words that don't rely on a visual punch line. I know how to literally make ideas appear out of thin air - and make them work.
Even in my spare time, I still continue to write and create. Whether it's a music review or an article about food, I love capturing peoples imagination and putting words on pages.
Please have a read of my articles, even check out my art if you like, and let me send you some of my audio work.
I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely
Alastair Beaton
