To make The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a mainstream success, we had to broaden the appeal of fantasy roleplaying without compromising the loyalty of the series' devoted fans.
IDEA
Redefine fantasy to shift perception of the genre. We built a cinematic, modern brand identity rooted in the essence of the game. An integrated brand campaign spread that tone of epic reality through every channel to reach both hardcore and mainstream gamers.
IMPACT
Bethesda shipped over ten million copies globally, generating over $650 million in revenue at launch. Skyrim went on to become the second best selling game of 2011 an unmatched feat for a title of its genre and category.
