Ahead of the 2019 holiday season , Actor/Comedian Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric, Master of None) starred as "reality" in this national ad campaign for Oculus Quest. The campaign — which includes television, social and digital — was Facebook’s biggest effort backing VR to date. Oculus Quest is Oculus' first standalone virtual reality headset and it's wireless. It requires no phone, PC or game console.

The campaign titled "Defy Reality" features popular VR titles including Vader Immortal, Beat Saber, Echo Arena and Moss.

The character of "Reality" has certain rules. You can’t fly. You can’t bend time. You can’t use the Force. Reality used to call the shots, until Oculus Quest came along. With Oculus Quest, the ground breaking VR headset, you can defy reality.

Additionally, Oculus rocked movie goers with a 4-minute immersive experience that enabled attendees to experience VR without a headset. Oculus transformed the historic Los Angeles Theatre with lasers, projectors, spatial sound and practical effects marking the first time these technologies were combined together to demonstrate the scale and impact of VR.
