ABOUT
Mansion needed a website that had an easy CMS, an ability to expand over time and something that sold the experience visually. It needed to be responsive, it needed to retain a strong presence in the rankings and it needed to help automate operations.
I chose WordPress because it’s easy to pick up for new administrators with plenty of forum support and resources available to easily expand the site over time.
I opted for a largely visual site style to make the most of their product, which was their ultimate selling tool. To give the site a modern feel and a good level of user experience, I introduced animated rollovers and transitions. Big photography and lavish use of jQuery was going to present a problem with site speed. So I planned to build the site using HTML5 Canvas, allowing faster rendering of dynamic shapes and graphics.
