About me

My name is Aimee and I am writing with regard to the junior copywriter position. I am a recent BA hons History graduate from Queen Mary University and I am looking to pursue a career in the digital journalism or marketing industry.

I have extensive experience in social media, blogging and journalism, having previously written for a luxury lifestyle title, my university paper and a music consultant company. From these experiences I have learnt to develop a tone of voice that can be adapted depending on the readership. I have gained an understanding of the necessary relationship between the editorial team and the advertising sales team, in order to survive and thrive as a business.

Studying History to degree level required me to be extremely efficient when it came to organising and proof-reading my work, especially with my 15,000 word research dissertation. Balancing a sales assistant job at a high-end fashion retail store alongside my studies also required me to be organised, creative and work well within a team.
