In collaboration with the WMF and the IOC, a groundbreaking project was undertaken to shed light on the journey of Olympic fencing athlete and medalist, Enrico Garozzo.
This project aimed to capture the essence of his work with Future Champions Academy, an initiative dedicated to nurturing young talent and instilling self-belief within aspiring athletes. Through a meticulously planned pre-production phase with a London-based agency, followed by a two-day shooting inside the Mexican Olympic Committee, this documentary delves into the transformative impact of Garozzo and his team on the next generation of athletes.
Three weeks before Garozzo's arrival, extensive pre-production work commenced in collaboration with Worldmark Films. This phase involved planning, scheduling, and conceptualizing the narrative arc. Detailed discussions were held to outline the objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes of the film. Logistical arrangements, including location scouting, talent and equipment procurement, were meticulously coordinated to ensure a seamless execution during the shooting phase.
As the cameras rolled, we had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the passion and dedication that Garozzo and his team.
The heart of the video documentary unfolded over 2 intense days of shooting inside the Mexican Olympic Committee. Here, we had the opportunity to closely follow Garozzo and his teammates. Through candid interviews and immersive footage, we delved into their journeys, exploring the genesis of the Future Champions Academy and its evolution.
It became evident that beyond honing athletic skills, the program was about nurturing resilience, fostering teamwork, and instilling a sense of purpose in each participant.
