Descansos in Pátzcuaro and Janitzio in Michoacan, Mexico: A Visual Tribute to Their People and Landscapes.
As a production company, we had the privilege of developing the versions of Descansos (three versiones), and in this time we share with you the one from Pátzcuaro and Janitzio, Michoacán. This project was much more than a film: it was a deep dive into the roots of Mexico.
From the beginning, we knew that the heart of these stories lay in their people: the fishermen who navigate the lake at dawn, and the landscapes that seem painted with calm and a lot of heart.
We dedicated ourselves to taking care of every detail: from the authentic locations to the real casting, from the natural light that bathes the docks to the narrative rhythm that respects the soul of each of the fishermen and the "Los Viejitos" dancers. This experience not only reflected the beauty of Michoacán, but also the capacity of audiovisual media to honor and make visible living cultures so they are not lost.
A production with respect, emotion, and technique. Because telling stories is also preserving them.
