To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hermeto Pascoal’s first (and only) solo album – “Por Diferentes Caminhos”, a Brazilian musician who is known worldwide for his talent to make music using all sorts of material and considered by Miles Davis “the most impressive musician in the world”, the instrumentalist went back to studio to record new songs in the style of someone who “was born music”, in his own words.

Guided by his authenticity and inspired by Hermeto’s unique experimentalism, Budweiser, the beer that shares the same values of the artist – that has been making its beer in a unique way for more than 140 years – developed in partnership with the Brazilian Festival of Contemporary Music, a digital platform called “Made of Music”, which used data as the core idea to compose the tribute.

After extensive tests, the platform found in the combination of twelve parameters a means of decoding Hermeto’s new songs and translating its distinctive tunes and rhythms into data and code language which were then converted in visual graphics allowing a personalized interactive experience for the public.

In the Made of Music platform, fans can send their photos, select one of the instruments that were part of the artist’s musical studies – either a piano, accordion, flute, or even a glass of water – and see their images transformed by the artist’s musicality. The result of the meeting between the user’s photo and Hermeto’s music is an exclusive and customized image that the user can share in his or her social networks or create a digital album cover to be used in streaming platforms.
