This edition introduces us to Francis, France's last lapidaries (or stone turner).

I met Francis at his garden gate one hot July afternoon whilst insects buzzed around us, a gentle breeze moving through the tree tops and a distant combine gathered in the harvest.
He told me about the history of the workshop, about his time running the business and the future he now faces as he moves into retirement.

Summer is part of an ongoing series of seasonal zines focussing on themes of community, environment and sustainability. Each edition is in a printed and online format with additional films supporting the physical zine.
