ABOUT
The brief was to create a compact container for the promotional market, with the ability to print at least five different messages for maximum branding flexibility. I developed the product from concept through prototyping to production.
The perfectly cubic shape was selected for its elegance and symmetry. Through iterative sketching and rapid 3D prototyping, I developed and presented multiple construction directions and opening mechanisms. A series of physical prototypes was produced to test and optimise ergonomics.
In parallel, I created the Mini Mint-it Cube brand and a cohesive suite of digital and print materials and templates, ensuring a clear and adaptable visual identity. For the product launch, I designed a plush Mr. Mint toy and a dedicated landing page.
After the product’s release, I worked with printing partners to develop the Panoprint technique, which allowed seamless artwork to be printed around the cube. The method was immediately adopted by the market, substantially increasing the design flexibility of the cube.
I also worked closely with legal teams to secure registrations, trademarks, and patents across Europe, China, the USA, Australia, and other territories.
The design achieved wide commercial adoption and has been used by Intel, BASF, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, EY, Marriott, and thousands of other companies worldwide. For Bayer AG, an exclusive blue Mint Cube matched to Pantone was produced.
